IT Help Desk Specialist provides technical Austability Group network and system support to end-users of Microsoft 365 platform and MS Azure. Ensure that all AG devices and user apps are running the latest updates and patches applied. Provide support to end-users experiencing computer hardware and software issues. Must respond to queries, isolate problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Offer customer-centered technical support for the company’s desktop computing environment and corporate network, including supported hardware, Microsoft 365 apps, other business applications, and peripheral devices.
• Provide solutions to software, hardware, and system problems by researching problems and questions, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and applying available information and resources.
• Perform Mobile Device Enrollment in Endpoint Manager (Intune) and Azure AD.
• Ensure Microsoft Endpoint Manager configuration, policies, permissions, and procedures are in place.
• Ensure Windows feature updates and patches are up to date.
• Deploy applications to managed devices.
• Setup and monitor malware protection functionality.
• Troubleshoot remote users’ hardware and software issues by applying remote monitoring and management software.
• Assist in the configuration and use of the Microsoft Teams Collaboration Suite and SharePoint Online services.
• Assist users in all aspects of Exchange online services.
• Carry out root cause analysis and create new resolutions to problems that occur frequently.
• Responsible for opening and closing service requests; managing classification of requests; assigning and tracking of requests, and completion of requests.
• Perform upgrade for desktops/laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and any other devices; obtain authorization for new hardware.
Required skills:
• Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment. Microsoft services like MS Teams, One Drive, Exchange Online, and Azure Active Directory, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Microsoft Azure, Mobile Access (MDM), PowerShell, SharePoint Administration, Microsoft Teams Administration.
• Experience researching, analysing and interpreting automated system problems.
• Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications.
• Knowledge and experience of customer service practices.
• Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support.
